They are so beautiful! As gorgeous as any by Guimard in Paris. I love the wooden doors the best but hard to chose because you picked such wonderful ones. Warmest regards, Mitza
Dear Ellen, thank you for your lovely words. If you would know how many photos I still have to blog! I became a door-maniac in the last months. Have a wonderful day, hope you are fine, warmest regards Mitza
Oh, my! The first one is especially fabulous! Worth a trip to the other side of the world! ;->

Hi Judie, thank you for your nice words. A trip to Greece is really a trip to culture of thousands of years. Hope you are fine, will answer your mail soon, virtual hugs Mitza
Great collection, from the smart to battered but clearly well loved. The door grilles deserve a separate collection of their own.
Thanks for your comment. It is quite interesting to see all the different designs the blacksmiths did at the fifties and that’s what fascinates me most of all. There are a lot more to come, also separate collections. Have a nice day, regards Mitza
You certainly don’t get the sense there was mass production. I look forward to seeing more, Mitza.
Fabulous 🙂 Memories of Kos!
Thank you for your approval. I guess Greece is similar all over and there are a lot of old doors all over. Regards Mitza
I think it’s very much a look of the Mediterranean! So inviting I think 🙂

Hallo taphian, I love your photos and I love the portrait old doors of Kefalonia. Greece is full of suggestions. I try to portray the balcony in Portugal. I call the article “balconi sgarrupati” as a joke, where sgarrupati mean, in neapolitan dialect, very poor and destroy… 🙂
Thanks a lot for liking my photos. Yes, Greece has a lot of beauty to photograph. I’m looking forward to your “balconi sgarrupati”. Have a wonderful week-end, regards Mitza
